Colorado Springs, CO- Rocky Mountain Health Care Services (RMHCS), a local non-profit organization, will host its 8th Annual Chef Showcase Thursday evening, May 3, 2018 at the Olympic Training Center. Over 20 chefs will showcase their best dishes and guests will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite chef. The winning chef will win a $2,500 prize.
The event will benefit the programs of Rocky Mountain Health Care Services, including Rocky Mountain PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly), BrainCare, and HealthRide. This last year, RMHCS served 526 seniors in the PACE program, served 101 adults in the BrainCare program, provided over 60,000 rides through HealthRide, and fed over 76,000 meals to these individuals.
“Chef Showcase is our signature fundraising event for our nonprofit,” stated Bill Levis, chair of RMHCS’ board of directors, “and increases awareness of our mission to improve lives, optimize wellness, and promote independence. We’re very excited about the 2018 event.”
RMHCS works diligently to keep individuals as highly independent as possible. The nonprofit organization delivers exceptional care to enrich the lives of their participants and empower them to live vibrant, independent lives. RMHCS works towards this goal through programs designed to meet the specific needs of individuals living in El Paso and Teller Counties. The programs have served the Colorado Springs community since 1976.
