Colorado Springs, CO – Rocky Mountain Health Care Services (RMHCS) is hosting the 9th Annual Chef Showcase on Thursday, May 16th, 2019 from 5:30-8:30pm at Hotel Eleganté. The annual event is a benefit for the programs of Rocky Mountain Health Care Services and features local chefs who serve their best dishes in a competition. Participating Chefs compete against each other to win Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals as judged by guests of the event who vote for their favorite dishes.
Rocky Mountain Health Care Services, a local nonprofit organization, serves seniors in the Rocky Mountain PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) program and those who have sustained a brain injury in the BrainCare program. In 2017, Rocky Mountain Health Care Services served 659 seniors in the Rocky Mountain PACE program, 113 adults in the BrainCare program, and provided over 68,000 meals and 75,000 rides for these individuals.
Nate Olson, President and Chief Executive Officer of RMHCS is excited to host the event. “The Chef Showcase allows us to share the work we do to promote independence for seniors and brain injury survivors, while our guests enjoy a relaxed and fun atmosphere with excellent food and networking opportunities. There isn’t another event in the Springs like it.”
